Future relevancy or page rank

With all the talk about search engines and relevancy, I came up with some interesting thoughts that I wanted share about where I believe the search engines are heading concerning basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Trying to stay ahead of the search engines, which is nearly impossible, I’ve been trying to look to the future of SEO while creating web pages following the guidelines of the major search engines. One of the largest problems the major search engines are dealing with is Search Engine Spam, Adsense Spam, and “Spammy Pages” such as keyword stuffing to gain higher rankings. In guidelines from Google, they mention write your pages for the users, not for the search engines. This statement alone, is a little prediction of the future of what is coming. And in order to stay ahead of the curve with some long term planning, I am suggesting we should take this to heart, and stop using the older SEO methods that eventually will hurt us. Websites are being currently being penalized and dropped from years of top rankings for not adapting to the search engines guidelines and continuing to use SEO methods of years ago. In thinking in terms of long-term success to maintain high rankings for each of the major search engines, through about as much research as you do online, I have came up with a few guidelines to the basic SEO ideas for the future. One of the most important aspect for the search engines, and what I have seen and predict will have more importance is website copywriting. We’ll this is nothing new, we all know website copywriting is important, may as high at 45% of our copywriting contributes to our page rank. This will always remain important, and I believe will become even more important to high as 85% of what our website says will contribute to our page ranking in the future, as a shift from the search engine giving higher ranking from a technical aspect to more of a informational or relevancy aspect. Eliminating some of the currently used technical aspects may maintain higher ranking in the coming future. Let me explain some of the commonly abused technical SEO habits currently, that I believe is headed toward extinction. a. Keyword Meta tags. This tag alone is open to elimination due to the common abuse methods such as keyword stuffing. Most major search engines generally ignore this tagline currently. b. ALT tags are another tagline that is just in the beginning stages of being eliminated. Some search engines have been experimenting with ignoring ALT tags and have found out that pages indexed without ALT tags are returning higher relevancy results. Again like the Meta tags, ALT tags have been abused to such from as keyword stuff. c. The two Meta tags that will gain in importance will be the Title tag and Description tag. A title and description taglines accurately representing a well written website copy write will enhance your page’s relevancy. I am not suggesting that today that we immediately stop using the successful technical SEO currently in place, but the gradual elimination of this technique as the search engines stop using each method. Personally, I no longer include the Keyword Meta taglines on my web pages, and will continue to remove useless html as that become irrelevant. In summary, my opinion is that future SEO standards will be more focused on good copywriting and less on technical aspects such as Meta taglines, Alt taglines, Headings to gain a higher page rank, or should I say higher relevancy.

Seo tools poem

I am in my cave, and looking out kind of furtive, The reason being, psychologically, I am low assertive, It seems to me with dinosaurs just outside the cave, Its entirely reasonable now, to be anything but brave, But the tribal psychiatrist insists that I must face my fears, And he issued me with stones, and little wooden spears, And so I went out bravely, into the land of fools, And got quickly eaten because I lacked the proper tools. ”You see things haven’t changed much,” the tutor whispered sage, ”Psychiatry still screws up, no matter what millennium or age”, He pauses for best effect, and to let the chuckles die, ”What was needed was a plan, and the means to try.” ”So they tried all sorts of weapons, all sorts of cunning ruse, But they always ended up, as just amusing little chews, And just when they were despondent, try as they might, Along came Dinosaur disaster, in a great big meteorite.” ”So there’s a lesson in the parable, of your cavemen of old, Don’t listen to the shrinks and to anything you are told, For if you are to triumph, over the odds against the rules, You will need a bigger club, or ideally 21st century tools, We don’t have dinosaurs now with which to fight, But PCs and internets where things have to be right, So ignore your Psychiatrist when problems rear their head, Just go and see your Guru, and use his tools instead.” The poem you just heard and wondered at in awe, Is a totally new creation and not cribbed from one before, And the Tutor is a Fowler, mentioned on the training pages, Who uses methods slightly more in tune to current ages, There may not be any dinosaurs lurking on your drive, But these days a super virus may be all too much alive, And though Google isn’t Pterodactyl proof, it avoids bad links, And dodgy linking areas, and your ranking quickly sinks. So crawl out of your cave and click on the link to tools, That validate bad html and make your website cool, That check your viability and show you where you are, And put you back in charge, instead of watching from afar, Google will love you, the more you do right and sound, And these tools will pare away all that is not allowed, And should you need an expert we are here never doubt, Not with psychiatric counseling, but with proper technical clout. One day I stepped outside my cave, and the creatures were in shock, For I hadn’t brought a little spear, hadn’t primed up my flintlock, Hadn‘t sharpened up my arrows, with my trusty longbow in tow, Hadn’t brought a big pistol or a nasty grenade to throw, No I had brought a massive tank, and though it was overkill, I flattened all the bloody creatures that ever wished me ill, And so instead of cowering, like me come out clanking, And visit the Gurus tools site, and develop your prime ranking.

Optimum seo keyword density a real life case study

So you’ve built your website, you know what keywords you want to target (i. e. what words your customers are searching for), and you’re ready to write your copy. You’ve been told that you should use your keywords frequently so that you appear in search results for those words. But what does “frequently” mean? How many times should you use your primary keyword? This case study helps answer that question. Some background on ”Keyword Density” In order to understand optimum keyword usage, we first need to have some way of measuring keyword frequency. In the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) world, frequency is actually referred to as density. Keyword density is a measure of the number of times your keyword appears on a page expressed as a percentage of the total wordcount of that page. For example, if your page has 100 words, and your keyword phrase appears 5 times, its density is 5%. So when you hear someone say “keyword density”, that’s normally what they’re talking about. (TIP: You can automatically check the keyword density of your page at LiveKeywordAnalysis. ) However, there is another, more complex measure of keyword density which takes into account the text components in the HTML of the page (i. e. the meta tags: Title, Keywords, Alt Text, Description, and Comments). When using this measure, you don’t just count the words your visitor sees; you also count the words in your meta tags. For example, if you have 100 words on your home page, 10 words in your Title tag, 20 words in your Description tag, 70 words in your Alt tags, and 10 words in your Comments tag, your total wordcount for the page is 100 + 10 + 20 + 70 + 10 = 210. Similarly, when counting keywords, you don’t just add up the number of times a visitor will see your keyword, you also count the number of times that keyword appears in your meta tags. For example, if your keyword appears 5 times in the home page copy, 3 times in the Title tag, 5 times in the Description tag, 30 times in your Alt tags, and twice in your Comments tag, your total keyword count is 5 + 3 + 5 + 30 + 2 = 45. So with a total wordcount of 210 and a keyword count of 45, your keyword density is 45/210 x 100 = 21%. It is argued that this measure of keyword density is more relevant as the search engines measure density in this fashion. (TIP: You can automatically check the keyword density of your page using this more complex measure at GoRank. ) As you can see, you need to be very aware of which measure you’re talking about when you’re talking “keyword density”. But let me reiterate; mostly when people talk about keyword density, they’re talking the simple measure. What is the optimum keyword density And now down to business… What keyword density (of either kind) should you be targeting on your website? There’s a lot of debate surrounding this issue because the search engine companies don’t disclose the details of their algorithms (as that would allow people to abuse the system). Instead, people working in the SEO world are left to figure it out based on their experience. A recent article by respected SEO and Blog expert, Wayne Hurlbert, (see Keyword Density: SEO Considerations) suggests that Google sees pages with a keyword density of greater than 2% as spam. It was this article which prompted me to analyze the keyword density of my copywriting website. CASE STUDY The Website: This case study analyzes the website for my advertising copywriting and SEO copywriting business, Divine Write – divinewrite. For my primary keyword, my site is now on page 1 of Google (out of approximately 900,000 search results). Number of pages on site: At the time of writing, my website contained a total of 53 pages. Primary keyword phrase: “copywriter” Average keyword density: Using the simple measure of keyword density discussed above, the average keyword density of my copywriting website is 1.9%. Using the complex measure it’s 4.9%. Keyword density range: Using the simple measure, my density ranged from 0.4% to 7.6%. Using the complex measure it ranged from 1.6% to 17.5% Some comments on the figures • The figures and corresponding ranking detailed in this case study may not be directly relevant to every site. There’s a lot I don’t know about the algorithms and there are bound to be other factors at play which I don’t know about. • With regard to Wayne Hurlbert’s article, it would seem that he is referring to keyword density as calculated using the simple method discussed above. • The range figures are noteworthy because they suggest that you don’t need to be paranoid about having some pages with a very high density and some with a very low density. Conclusion A simple keyword density of 1.9% can be enough for a first page ranking in Google (assuming you have enough quality backlinks – see SEO for CEOs and How to Top Google by Writing Articles for more information). Happy SEO writing!

The best way how to improve link popularity

There are many ways how to improve link popularity. If you are webmaster who is hungry for better ranking in search engines, this article was written for you. There are hundreds of factors which determine your search engine position. Except on-page factors there are off-page factors too. And these factors seem to be most important for big search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN. When I speak about off-page factors I mean not only the number of the links pointing to your website. If you want to achieve top positions in search engines you must care about relevance of your back links. Let's say you are a web designer. In your case the most valuable links are from another web designers websites. Very valuable will be links from related industries like web hosting, search engine optimization (seo) or webmaster tools. By contrast, link from site like online casino will have minimal value for you. From this reason exchange links with relevant websites only. Internet is full of sites related to yours so why waste your time with gaining worthless back links? When webmasters exchange links, a lot of them care too much about pagerank of partner's website. Yes, you are right -- link from PR8 site is better then link from PR0. But keep in mind that those new sites with PR0 will grow with time and their PR will grow too. It can easily happen that you exchange a link with PR0 website today and after 6 months this site gain PR5+. And now let's answer this important question: What is easier -- get link on PR0 website which will grow or on PR5+ site? From my point of view each link has big value as long as it is from relevant website. Let's look at another factors used by search engines to determine the value of back links. You have probably heard terms "one-way" and "reciprocal" links. One-way links are links where webmaster of site A links to site B but webmaster of site B doesn't link back to site A. Reciprocal links are links where webmaster A links to site B and webmaster B links back to site A. There are two important facts: 1. One-way links have a little higher value for search engines. Search engines suppose that one-way links are most likely natural and predicate the quality of the linked website. 2. Reciprocal links have a little lower value from the reason mentioned above. But it is easier to get reciprocal link then one-way link (In case that your site is quality, of course. For poor websites it is always difficult to gain back links). Anyway relevant reciprocal link is always better then one-way link from unrelated website. The last factor I will describe in this article is the age of the domain. If you get link from the 5 years old domain the link will have higher value then link from the new site. Many spammers register domains for one year, use them as link farms and when they are banned by search engines (it takes probably less then one year) then they don't renew this domain and register a new one. On the other side, if the site is a few years old and had never used any unfair SEO tactics, search engines give this site higher importance. So if you are trying to improve link popularity of your website, don't forget that it is not only about pagerank. You need links from quality websites. Making your website the best in your field is the right way how to get these valuable links.
